No beating about the bush here: Jones’ extended tour around pop culture cannot but make a pit stop at Fritz Lang world: that cold, hard, monochromatic visual rehearsal for Totalitarianism that flourished in the Weimar republic. The usual Jones mix of the utterly gorgeous and the viscerally frightening are here in aces, though subdued and glassed-in; a relic to remind us of now
