My name is Kazzy and I live in Bury, Lancashire.(photos) I love exploring the infinite possibilities presented by working with Fractals in abstract, expressionist and symbolist form.

I came across fractals initially after researching truth theories which led onto the trail of Creation and then to Quantum mechanics and Chaos.

Fractals fascinated me from the start and the more I learned the more I felt drawn to somehow use them in a creative way. The Fractal art you see on my site is computer generated. A computer program applies a colour to each pixel on the screen based on mathematical formulas. Benoit Mandelbrot first coined the term 'Fractal' and was the first to apply it to computers.

This original formula, z^2+c, is called the Mandelbrot formula. Fractals have become more than just a vehicle of self expression to me, my whole life philosophy has evolved from the study of and interacting with them

People have enjoyed and seem fascinated by my work ( as well as bought some!), and it has been exhibited countrywide including the Mall Gallery in London. Exhibitions You can find out more about how I create them here. Demonstration

I often write to accompany my work, poetry, prose, short stories, and I have also had a series of mystical visions which I have recorded. Writing

Most of my work has a philosophical undercurrent, some are satirical, simply decorative, personal or sensual.

I am inspired by many people including, Hikmet, Solzhenitsyn, Anna Ratushinskaya, Gogol, Gorky, Dostoevesky, John Steinbeck, Teillard Chardin, as well as music..

I have compiled images and words in a book I am seeking to have published " Firefly Epiphany" which chronicles a personal spiritual journey which I hope will inspire ( as well as entertain others) who have overcome adverisity and challenges in their lives.
